Though instead of joining Grayson , he instead assists Alfred in his chores. He is unshocked to learn Bruce Wayne is Batman, having figured it out before hand. Later, Batman offers Kyle to become one of his crime-fighting sidekicks due to his impatience and unhoned skill. He accepts and names himself Dreadwing.

When Batman and Robin capture her to be tested, he against such an act. She fails an examination(in Batman's eyes) for not being able to save holographic projections. He comforts her and apolgizes for their rudeness. After she teams up with her idol Black Canary(gaining some of Batman's respect) and introduces herself to Gordon as one of Batman's proteges, she gives Kyle a kiss for the kindness he showed her.

Independence[]

Dreadwing eventually becomes tired of being under Robin all the time and becoming older, breaks off from Batman and becomes a solo hero. At the same time, Nightwing also breaks off from Batman to join the Teen Titans. He begins using his family fortune that he inherited to buy his own estate and builds a cave similiar to the Batcave underneath it. He is placed in a containment pod but is able to break out damage from the Cave's defense system via missles. He is called by Oracle who guides him how to get off the ship through visual interface. After traveling through the ship, he finds that the ship houses one of Brainiac's invasion forces. He then is attacked by Brainiac droids specifically made to kill him though he dispatches them easily. He then proceeds to the main weapon control roomand after destroying the four control panels(which in turn destroy the main gun), he fights the Brainiac Ship Guardian. The Guardian almost manages to defeat Dreadwing by blasting him in the back but when it tries to kill him, he had already put explosives on the machine destroying it. The entire fighting force of the ship then comes in to kill him but luckily Superman's former sidekick Superboy-Prime breaks in the ship to assist him. Finally, after a long period of fighting the ship has run out of robots and self destructs. Both Superboy-Prime and Dreadwing fly out of the explosion safely.

He learns from Oracle that the weaker version of Venom gives the same strength-enhancing powers but completely destroys the body after prolonged use. He also learns that even though he disrupted their main shipping routes near the docks, Venom is still somehow getting out. To find the main distribution center, he tortures several of Bane's henchman by depriving the thugs of the venom causing excruxiating pain and eventual death. Entering the distribution center and taking care of all henchmen guarding the place, he gains the lists of all the shipping terminals and locations and shuts them down one by one. Adrian gives him a Green Lantern ring to help Dreadwing against the Sinestro Corpsmen. Dreadwing proves to be a powerful ally with the Green Lantern ring as his will is powerful enough to completely outmatch veteran members of the Sinestro Corps. He demonstates this by disintegrating several Sinestro corpsman in a omni-directional blast after they tried to ambush him. He gives Dreadwing these coordinates and tells him to find the location. Dreadwing finds a Question mark-covered box meaning the clue was from the Riddler. Oracle contacts him on the mystery saying the Riddler gave up being a criminal and started his own detective agency but from the info given, it seemed like he was going back into his old persona. The Ridder's clue is "When is an attack not an attack".Batman figures out is means the Joker's attack in Burnley is a decoy and another attack is happening somewhere in Gotham. He gives Dreadwing the coordinates to the location. As expected, the Joker has attacked another location. Dreadwing fights off the mainiacs without the police's help. He is successful and rescues all the hostages they have captured. He tends to the tramatized victims but Batman gives him another set of coordinates. The location has another box which gives him a riddle.Oracle says the riddle sounds like it seems as if someone is controlling the Joker but dismisses the thought.

Final Clue[]

Batman gives Dreadwing a final set of coordinates which leads him to a business complex area. The Joker has not only attacked the area with clowns but has unleashed an platoon of robots that have a resemblance to the android Red Tornado. The police arrived but are slaughtered by the combined force of the robots and clowns. Dreadwing attacks in the middle of the attack defeating the clowns but being pinned down by robots. Dreadwing activates an EMP to disable them, take there cores and destroys the deployment vans. He also gets there blueprints and collects the destroyed machines for study. He recieves coordinates for another box to find. Riddler reveals he resides at the Monarch Trading Card company and is targeted for assassination from the Joker for exposing his plans with the J1N1 robots. He enters the building to find the riddler and find out about the situation. Riddler sees him and acknowledges him for getting so far. He is confronted with a clue but easily solves it gaining access to more of the building. He is stopped by another riddle which again solves with ease. He sneak attacks a group of clowns before solving the final riddle. He reaches the Riddler who tells him that Deathstroke is in the room to kill both of them. Dreadwing attacks Deathstroke with each side having no advantage over the other. After a long period of time, Deathstroke gains the advantage and shoots Dreadwing in the leg. The Riddler informs Deathstroke that the Joker cannot pay him and the contract is off. Deathstroke leaves shortly afterwards. Dreadwing then heads to the attacked area along with Mr.Marvel and fight off the mindless zombies that Faust has created. Felix retreats to Gotham University Warehouse as Dreadwing follows him. Felix transforms everyone into zombies in the Warehouse and escapes. The zombies quickly kill off most of the security guards leaving one at the top floor. Felix Faust takes Black Adam's powers and transfers them to Isis but makes her his slave. Faust commands Isis to attack Dreadwing but Captain Marvel intervenes defeating Isis and Faust. Dreadwing gets his soul back bringing him back to the living once more.

Spectral Embrace[]

Dreadwing heads to Metropolis where the Spectre has been reported to have been attacking. Concerned and attempting to gain more information, he finds a Sentinal of Magic to help him. The Sentinal informs him that the Specter has gone mad and is creating spirits out of dead souls to wreak havoc. Dreadwing encounters several spirits while on his way to on City Hall where the Specter has took over. He eventually encounters Superboy-Prime who is facing the same problem. The two work together to repel the spirits and find someone who can send them back. The pair meet up with the Sentinals of Magic and Morlun(a member of their team) to quell the threat. Morlun explains the Sentinals have created a magical barrier that will banish any souls brought up by the Spectre back to their respective realms. Superboy-Prime uses his flight power and amazing speed to collect most of the spirits into the barrier. Despite the plan going smoothly, more spirits arrive in their place. Morlun understands that something is creating more. He finds his answer when a massive black figure creates more in front of him. He overpowers the small army and banishes them . Dreadwing attacks the creature but his attacks phase through it and is knocked aside. The Sentinals see this and offer to dim his soul as the creature apparently cannot be harmed by the living. He accepts and with assistance from Morlun, he has he spiritual essence dimmed along with Superboy-Prime. He fights the creature again but this time is successful in hitting the creature as well as downing it. They enter the City Hall in an attempt to stop the Specter. They cleave through multiple spirits and eventually end up with Green Lantern Hal Jordan. Hal Jordan informs them the Specter is in the next room. Upon entering, the Specter attacks but Hal Jordan defends them. Hal holds off the Specter while the others find whats causing him to go mad. They find strange crystals which Morlun identifies to have the Spectre's humanity and other emotions inside. The three destroy all the crystals freeing the Specter. The Specter becomes overwhelmed by his emotions again. Hal recharges his ring but is attacked by the Spectre. The three battle him forcing the Specter to find a host. His first choice is Superboy-Prime and he becomes the Specter. Dreadwing, Morlun and Hal are forced to fight Superboy-Prime in his empowered state but are defeated. Hal creates Kryptonite which drive the Spectre out of Superboy-Prime. The Specter chooses Hal next but is stopped by Morlun who is possessed instead. Morlun is eventually separated from the Specter by Superboy. The Specter lies defeated but Eclipso appears and attacks him. The Specter using the last of his strength chooses Dreadwing as his new host. Dreadwing having new godlike powers battles Eclipso. Having the others to back him up and adapting to his newfound power, Dreadwing easily defeats Eclispo. The Specter then seperates from Dreadwing then banishes Eclipso promising him judgment. The Specter thanks the heroes and rewards them with Dreadwing receiving a vial of his own power along with Eclipso's, Superboy-Prime receives a power boost as does Morlun but with access to slight divine powers as well . The Specter then leaves.

T.O Takedown[]

Dreadwing arrives at the the JLA Watchtower to speak with Batman who has urgently and specifically requested him. Batman gives him the source of the Joker's toxin: T.O Morrow. Dreadwing arrives at Morrow's lair and finds the assembly of J1N1 robots. Once inside, he is assaulted by J1N1 robots, the same robots used when he was defeating the Joker's goons a while back. He then faces a corrupted Red Tornado. Dreadwing prevails over the android and restores Tonardo back to his former self. Dreadwing then detains T.O Morrow and puts him on a intelligence drain device leaving him in a catatonic state. Learning, that Brainiac has taken over a very high priority Space Station. Dreadwing enters the Star Lab facility to take on the Brainiac robots invading via teleportation. He easily cleaves through them to stop the invasion. He then enters the teleporter to the Star Labs Space Station to repel the invaders. He is contacted by Batman to restore the gravity and the three terminals to restore the station to Star Labs control.. He heads to the Beta wing, a wing completely controlled by Brainiac. He activates it's defense systems and with them withstand fifteen waves of advanced drones. He heads to the mainframe and then sabotages it. This creates a robotic batman that tries to kill the original and teleports to the Batcave. Dreadwing collects all the data here then goes to the Batcave. He finds Batman trapped by his robotic duplicate. He fights the robot duplicate but it absorbs Batman's skills. The robot then calls an army of Brainiac drones to the Batcave. Dreadwing turns on the defenses destroying the drones. The Brainiac control drone Batman then uses 100% of Batman skills before fighting Dreadwing. After a long battle, Dreadwing destroys the drone and frees Batman. Oracle teleports Dreadwing out of the Batcave afterwards and he goes back to T.O Morrow's hideout to collect the data from Morrow's brain and to put him in stasis.

On the Offensive[]

Deciding to finally take the battle to Brainiac, Dreadwing gathers most of Next Gen's roster to conduct an all-out attack on Brainiac and his army. Dreadwing starts by forcing Brainiac's army from the ground up. Brainiac's forces are nearly overwhelmed by the young heroes. Of course, this does not go unnoticed as Brainiac sends down creatures called the Avatars of Power. The Avatar of Meta(created off the knowledge of Superheroes and Sunstone crystals),The Avatar of Tech(created from knowledge of Earth's technology and the Avatar of Magic based of Magical entities. The three avatars split up to sepetate locations. Dreadwing leads a team of heros who wield technology in their crusade to follow the Avatar of Tech. Dreadwing and the others who have technological skill easily defeat the avatar. All of a sudden, Brainiac appears. The heroes infuriated at the Galactic Conqueror for all the trouble and destruction he caused usher a massive attack bringing him down. Brainiac appears dead but is discovered to be an android. The android informs the teamabout Brainiac's plans to conquer Earth to find the Nexus of Realities and take over the Multiverse before it shuts down.

Rise of the Prime Avatars[]

Dreadwing informed by the Avatar, rushes to inform the other premier superhero teams such as the Justice League of America, the Teen Titans, JSA among others. On route to the JLA Watchtower, he is intercepted by a Brainiac Strikecruiser. He dodges it's initial blast but is caught in the explosion. He survives and sends it on a collision course with another ship. Dreadwing and the others appear before the league informing them of the situation. The Justice League puts the problems in his hands as they are too busy dealing with the villains to help. Alone, Dreadwing heads to the Cave making plans and preparations to end the invasion. Once his plans are completed, he sets out to his other teammates to bring them to fruition but they are preoccupied with three massive creatures. Brainiac taunts Dreadwing as he approaches his teammates as they are busy fighting. Brainiac brags that he has unleashed the Prime Avatars on the world.

The Prime Battleground[]

Dreadwing is horrified to see his entire roster defeated by the Prime Avatars so quickly. He summons his ship to help him distract the Prime Avatars. At first, he leads them away from his helpless team members but is knocked out of the sky soon afterwards. He is cornered by the Avatars but is saved by his previously fallen teammates. Dreadwing leads the team against the Avatars, Dreadwing leads a of Tech-based heros and unpowered vigilantes to fight the Prime Avatar of Tech. Unfortunately, the Avatar is far more advanced then their level of technology. Dreadwing instead orders different types of heros to fight different Avatars. Dreadwing leads the Tech-based heros to instead attack the Prime Avatar of Meta: a Kryptonian Sunstone creature. Due to the creature being made for Metahumans and Dreadwing's team has powerful technology capable of harming or defeating the Metahumans it was based after, the Prime Avatar of Meta is defeated(with some assistance from Superboy-Prime). Dreadwing later leads his Tech-based team to assist Dionysus Magical team against the Prime Avatar of Magic. They stand exhausted but victorious over the two defeated Avatars. The Prime Avatar of Tech is quickly defeated by the Metahuman heroes. As the heroes stand triumphant, the Avatars suddenly disappear. Brainiac then sets his final plan into motion to drill into Earth's core to the Nexus of Realities and gain control over the Multiverse.

Last Stand[]

Dreadwing leads the entire NG roster to follow Brainiac as the alien has already started to bore into the Earth through the GCPD Police Headquarters. NG attacks Brainiac's Skull Ship and manages to down the vessel but Brainiac manages to escape. Next Generation then follows Brainiac into the Nexus of realities. He finds Brainiac at the bottom having constructed a battlefield near the Nexus. Brainiac enters the Nexus of Realities and gains immense power. When he attempts to gain more, Arcanite magically blocks him off. Brainiac uses his newfound power to defeat the entire NG roster. When things look dire, the JLA and Teen Titans arrive finished with dealing with the Earth's villians. They put up an offense powerful to combat Brainiac and his power. NG members: Arcanite, Morlun and Miss Magician destroy Brainiac's tether to the Nexus. Brainiac uses the rest of his power from the Nexus of Realities to defeat all the superhero teams confronting him. As Brainiac prepares to kill them all in one massive explosion by absorbing the power from the Brainiac Avatar clone, an unknown force fires a red energy blast at him. The entity reveals it's self to be a creation of Dreadwing as he has used the vial of power the Spectre gave to him and made it into an entity with a tether to the Spectre. Dreadwing then gives the entity his a consciousness and nicknames it "Avatar" when it has his personality. Avatar then absorbs Brainiac's power and destroys him. Avatar then revitalizes all heroes present, destroys Brainiac's army and seals the Nexus of Realities. Avatar then gives a farewell to his creator before merging with the Nexus as the Avatar expended too much energy.

Aftermath[]

Dreadwing later creates a powerful sensor like structure to check Avatar's power level and to keep the Nexus of Realities from the wrong hands. All members of NG are sent to initiate repairs to destroyed areas of the world. Dreadwing is called by the Justice League to congratulate him in his effort and instrumental role in the stopping of the invasion. He is granted higher JLA member status, new high level technology and equipment and given access to the funds of Wayne Enterprises, Queen Industries and Kord Legacy to help fund his team and crusade. Along with his higher rank in the JLA, he becomes the official leader of Next Generation. Next Generation then salvages all remains of the invasion to prepare for a potential future invasion. With everything in order, Earth is free from intergalactic harm for now.

Cataclysm[]

Gotham City is overdue for an earthquake, and seismologist Jolene Relazzo detects that a huge one is coming.  The city is unexpectedly hit with a massive earthquake, and nobody is prepared. Wayne Manor collapses with Alfred inside. Dreadwing is contained safely in the Cave due to the cave having protection against earthquakes and reinforced with titanium. Oracle survives because all Wayne-owned buildings are fortified to withstand earthquakes. Harvey Bullock and Anarky put aside their differences to save lives. Nightwing hears about the earthquake in Bludhaven, and dashes across the river to help survivors. The villain Quakemaster claims to have caused the earthquake and demands 100,000 for a ransom. Quakemaster also kidnaps a reporter Jolene Star. Dreadwing finds Quakemaster kills him and rescues Jolene. Huntress leads people out of the subway and lets a small-time gangster die much to Batman's dismay and Dreadwing's appoval. Dreadwing later joins the Huntress in capturing escaped inmates. The skyline is devastated, and there's an estimated bodycount of over 100,000. Batman looks over the city with Robin, Deadwing and Nightwing, then remarks that at least the danger is over for now.

No Man's Land[]

With hopes for rehabilitating the broken city, the United States government declared it a No Man's Land, which effectively quarantined the entire island city. Bridges were destroyed, and any other means of entering or leaving was guarded by the U.S. Army. While the JLA and Next Gen did not assist in the quarantine for ethical reasons, they were so occupied keeping outside forces from conquering the city, that the situation inside was left to Dreadwing and his allies. Inside the city, the freed inmates of Arkham Asylum battled for control, as did various gangs. Fighting to reduce the chaos were the members of Gotham's Police Force who chose to stay behind, as well as heroes like Oracle and Huntress, who adopted the Batgirl persona in Batman's absence. With Batman being gone for so long, and his very existence debatable in the Gotham underworld, the Huntress was able to pass herself off as not only Batgirl, but Batman himself, as she faced off against many of Gotham's criminals. Following the example of the gangs in town, she even tagged her territory with the bat symbol. Dreadwing himself claims some territory around his estate and several other locations from Gotham's worst. He also culled some of the criminal population enjoying Batman's absence. Several members of Batman's Rogue's Gallery were there to help maintain the terror, though even they still had to improvise and had difficulty surviving, as did everyone else. Two-Face became a major warlord, acquiring and losing territory every so often, and caused problems for the police and in a daring move kidnapped Jim Gordon for breaking a previous alliance.  Poison Ivy took over Robinson Park (though in the series Ivy did not act as a villain; she instead cared for numerous orphans, was nearly killed by Clayface, and in a deal with Batman was left alone in exchange for her providing fresh produce twice a week to the remaining citizens). Without the benefit of advanced technology, Oracle used her resources to become a low-tech version of herself. She used paper to document events and the passage of time, operatives and emergency phones (knowing which ones were still in operation) to gather intel, and maps coloured by pencils to keep track of who controlled which portions of the city at a particular time. Eventually, thanks in no small part to the financial and political machinations of Lex Luthor--dipping his hands, as ever, in both legitimate and illegal means to achieve his goals Gotham City was released and rebuilt, and rejoined the United States.

Under the Hood[]

Jason Todd is resurrected as an amnesiac and crawls out of his own grave, eventually taken in by Talia al Ghul who restores his personality through a Lazarus Pit. Distraught to find that Batman had not cared enough to avenge his death against the Joker, he takes on the identity of the Red Hood. Red Hood begins terrorizing the Gotham underworld to enlist Black Mask's soldiers into his own organization, allowing the drug trade to continue under his control with stricter restrictions. During a climactic fight between the two men, Jason reveals himself to Bruce and explains his intention to change the face of crime-fighting. To prevent hundreds of unnecessary tragedies, he will bring death to those who deserve it.  Red Hood then destroys Black Mask's skyscraper headquarters with rockets. Dreadwing denounces his ties to the Batman after Bruce wonders/appears conflicted about saving Jason from the Secret Society. Kyle and Jason to team up to defeat the three villains and when they're done Jason murders Captain Nazi and escapes. Batman learns that Red Hood has captured the Joker and is holding him hostage, while Black Mask finally gets into a massive fist-fight with the Hood over territory.  Bruce and Jason confront each other in Crime Alley, where they witness another tragedy across the river.  Chemo is dropped as a living bomb onto Bludhaven by the Brotherhood of Evil, completely eradicating it. They argue about the philosophy and morality behind the rule against killing, and Jason explains that he never blamed Bruce for failing to save him; he blamed him for letting the Joker live and continue to kill thousands of people. If their positions had been switched, Jason would not have hesitated to avenge him and put the madman down. Dreadwing suddenly arrivies and sides with Jason saying not only he would have killed the Joker but eradicated crime in Gotham. Holding a final ultimatum, Jason gives Batman a gun and threatens to shoot the Joker unless he is lethally stopped. Having an emotional breakdown at this point, Batman ricochets a batarang off the wall and hits his student in the neck non-fatally to save his enemy. Joker takes this opportunity to grab the gun and shoots the explosives inside the building, detonating a massive explosion. Dreadwing pulls them both out and beats the Batman to a pulp for letting the Joker live.

OMAC Project[]

He is attacked by OMAC's(Observational Meta-human Activity Constructs) but manages to hold them off long enough to eventually escape. When Maxwell Lord is killed by Wonder Woman he is one of the few heroes who are sympathic to her prasing how she did what had to be done and that she is not self-righteous like most other heroes. He also comments on how he is disdainful of criminals living or getting away because of that same self-righteousness. Dreadwing later assists Batman in luring the OMAC's into the Sahara Desert and activites an EMP device before they attack the Superheroes gathered there in turn freeing their human hosts. He also chasties his former mentor over he would be willing to kill off his fellow superheroes but let criminals live. However, the Brother Eye satellite is still hidden and has about 200,000 OMAC's still under its control. Brother Eye overrides all television screens around the world and broadcasts Wonder Woman's killing of Maxwell Lord. People don't understand the circumstances, only that they're watching Wonder Woman murder a recognized Justice League colleague. Batman works furiously to disable his rogue creation, while Wonder Woman and the Amazons of Themyscira face international backlash over Diana's brutal means.

Infinite Crisis[]

Due to the JLA Watchtower being destroyed, he allows all JLA members to enter the NG Watchtower while assisting heroes and allies around the world with various menaces. Later, Dreadwing and the entire team of Next Gen assist Superboy against Superboy-Prime(evil one) along with multiple other superhero teams. Dreadwing has Speedster Supreme assist Kid Flash and the other speedsters in trapping Superboy-Prime(evil one) in the Speed Force. Even though Jay Garrick announces the Speed Force is gone, Speedster Supreme is undaunted due to having his own version of the Speed Force. Dreadwing is later apart of Batman's strike team to destroy the Brother Eye satellite. He later joins Next Gen with other superheroes teams to defeat the massive supervillian force attacking Metropolis. His efforts are mainly focused on distracting Superboy-Prime(evil one) to incur more casulaties on the villain's side and reduce or halt the casualities on the heroes side. During the battle, Superboy-Prime takes off to destroy Oa, planning to collapse the Universe, and recreate it with himself as the only superhero. Superboy-Prime breaks through a 300-mile thick wall of willpower created by the Green Lantern Corps, and then kills thirty-two Green Lanterns before Kal-L and Kal-El carry him toward Krypton's remains, now essentially a huge cloud of kryptonite. Dreadwing sends Next Gen's Superboy-Prime(New Earth) to join the battle in hopes of defeating him. Flying through Krypton's red sun, Rao, destroys Superboy-Prime's armor and causes all three Kryptonians' powers to dissipate. Landing on the sentient planet (and Green Lantern Corps member) Mogo, they fight. Kal-El finally knocks Superboy-Prime out and the older Superman Kal-L dies of his injuries in the arms of his cousin, Power Girl. Back on Earth, with the death of Superboy and the severe injuries Nightwing sustained, he is discouraged to see Batman and Wonder Woman let Alexander live. Instead, he arranges for Alexander to forbid the Joker into joining the Secret Society knowing that the madman would take this as an offense and kill him. Dreadwing's plans succeed and the Joker and Lex Luthor corner him in an allley where the Joker sprays acid on his face then kills him with a shotgun. Dreadwing feeling content leaves. The Green Lantern Corps imprison Superboy-Prime inside a red Sun-Eater. The series ends with him carving an S into his chest with his bare hands and declaring that he has escaped from worse prisons than this.

Battle for the Cowl[]

Dreadwing is watching over Gotham as the city descends into chaos. Knowing the Batman is dead, Kyle takes the opportunity to completely use his full plan to eradicate crime without the Batman's restrictions. Dreadwing is seen brutally beating Two-Face, Bane and Killer Croc in a fight and torturing them after they been defeated by shutting Bane Venom supply on and off repeating sending him into cardiac arrest, burning Two-Face's burt side even worse while beating him and giving Killer croc a poison for reptiles and electrocuting him. He ends his torture and is about ot kill them but is stopped and fought by Nightwing. Nightwing stands in front of Two-Face and dares Dreadwing to fire through him and he complies shooting Nightwing with a electrocution dart. Doctor Leslie Tompkins returns to Gotham after a long trip from Africa. He then attempts to secure a prison break at Arkham Asylum that Black Mask orchestrated. Also, Black Mask explains that he's had all the villains implanted with chips that will burn them alive unless they obey him. Commissioner Gordon is accused of letting Gotham fall to criminals with Kyle disdaining his refusal to kill criminals. Dreadwing takes Batman's cowl for himself after Nightwing and Tim Drake refuse and calls himself Arkham Knight. Dreadwing later assists in destroying Penguin's and Two-Face's criminal operations and usurping their assets and by unconditional help by Black Mask. This leaves the Penguin and Two- Face bankrupt and Kyle's next action is to beat them horribly in the process breaking two-Face's jaw, gounging his burnt eye out and breaks nearly sixety-five percent of the bones in his body. Additionally, he breaks Penguin's monacle and stuffs the shards into his eye while beating him and various contraptions. Dreadwing covertly kills Firefly and Adam Bomb to rid Gotham of them and to throw suspicion on Black Mask for their disapperance. Dreadwing forms an alliance with Jason Todd and assists Jason in fending off Catwoman and Tim Drake. Later, Kyle sends Penguin to the newly arrived Military and Two-Face leaves town. In Bruce's video will it is shown that he urged Jason to give up vigilante life, as he believes him to be mentally ill and in need of help. Their fight spills out into the open when Jason blows up Batman's cave. In their ultimate battle, Dick and Jason literally battle over Batman's cowl atop a speeding subway car. Dick kicks Jason over the side and offers to lift him back up, but Jason refuses help and presumably plunges to his own death. Because of this disaster, Dick realizes the importance of what they do and finally decides that he will become the new Batman with Damian Wayne as Robin at his side. Dreadwing then passes to him the title and mourns Jason's death. During his way back to the Cave, he is hit by falling debris and crashes into a stone wall. Due to his mask being damaged and years of head damage, Kyle gains amnesia. When wandering, he is shot with watered-down joker venom from an old trap causing his re-occuring memories of fighting criminals to merge into a single mindset. Additionally, the environment of Gotham causes Kyle to become a criminal mastermind. Kyle later becomes a very successful thief, stick-up man and planner but has bouts of going back to his old "Dreadwing" persona.

Morality Reverse[]

He eventually associated himself with Leonardo Wintergreen who was an natural planner and would assist Kyle in planing many heists. In 1993, Kyle met Gabriel Wilson while he was escorting cargo across the border. While Gabriel waited on the runway to meet his unknown employer, he noticed not one, but two dust trails coming up the road, despite the fact that he was told there would be one person meeting him with the exact cargo. Kyle exited the first vehicle, while a loan shark exited the second. As it turned out, the shark had his money stolen by Kyle. As Kyle tried to make a hasty escape on foot, the person attempted to get Gabriel's attention as to what just happened. Gabriel approached the man and fired off a flare gun into the man's eye, brutally killing him. He and Kyle both dumped the body into a lake after landing the plane. Gabriel stated that the experience was horrible, as the flare was still burning from the inside of his skull as they dropped him off into a lake. After noticing how well they work with each other, Kyle brought an aimless Gabriel along as a partner for various crimes he would commit. They were both somewhat successful at their profession, but Kyle claims that they were always impecunious and constantly on the run from the law; Gabriel's rage issues would cause him to murder someone in broad daylight and Kyle's circumspection and foresight would cause him and Kyle to skip town after completing a job. A few years later, Gabriel met Brad Snider, a fellow robber and future accomplice of Kyle and Gabriel. Kyle and Brad would never show any empathy for each other and would often express distaste or distrust when working together. According to Gabriel, Brad planned at one point to cut off Kyle and work only with Gabriel but refused.

Deal with the FIB[]

At some point in 2004, Kyle met FIB agent Dave Norton. Kyle made a deal with the FIB to surrender Gabriel & Brad in exchange for protection. He also asked for his accumulated millions, which got him a new house in Los Santos miles away, and a five figure sum would be transferred to Norton's account every month. Kyle would let Norton "kill" him in the upcoming bank heist in Ludendorff, a move that would make Norton's career as the agent who took down the supposed "Most Wanted Man in America". The staged robbery, however, turned out to be a disaster after Gabriel murdered a guard who held Kyle at gunpoint and when Kyle, Brad and Gabriel were ambushed by over a dozen police officers ready to arrest or kill them. During the getaway, their driver was killed by pursuing police; Kyle took the wheel and drove the crew to the ambush spot he and Norton had agreed on, where he claimed there was an escape chopper waiting, but this failed when they were side-swiped by a train trying to avoid a roadblock of North Yankton State Patrol vehicles.

However, things then began to go according to plan when Brad was purposely shot by Norton, who later succumbed to his wounds.. Kyle took the second bullet as planned - although the lack of a visible wound or blood loss implies that Dave intentionally missed him, or he was wearing a bullet proof vest and acted as if he believed the wound was fatal, imploring Gabriel to leave him behind. Enraged beyond sense, Gabriel proceeded to massacre numerous police officers before barely escaping the ambush with his life.

After the incident, Mordecai Townley (his alias throughout his criminal career) was pronounced dead, but in reality it was Brad who was buried in Kyle's place. True to his word, Dave arranged for Kyle to receive a comfortable stipend and a relocation to a large Los Santos mansion in Rockford Hills, where he lived under the surname "De Santa", and Kyle referred to this as "an informal witness protection programme". One crew member, Leonardo Wintergreen, who coordinated most of the heists, knew about this but in exchange for Kyle not telling Dave about him, he didn't tell anyone he was alive, but relocated to Los Santos as well. At some point Gabriel also relocated to the West Coast, settling in a nearby town; Sandy Shores, which Dave discovered when he sent a letter to the prison system adressed to Brad, however he kept this from Kyle for his own sanity.

New life in Vinewood[]

Kyle's life in Los Santos has slowly become into a living nightmare. He's become massively depressed about having to abandon his criminal lifestyle with memories of his actual vigilante self briefly resurfacing giving him nightmares and paranoia as a result. He now just spends his days either getting drunk to dull the depression or miserably lounging by his pool. As a result of all of this, Kyle goes through a midlife crisis and often visits overpriced professional therapist Isiah Friedlander, who doesn't really care about Kyle's problems and simply treats him for the money.

Nine years have passed since Kyle's false death and after another therapy session with Dr. Friedlander, Michael has a chance encounter with a Los Santos youth named Franklin " Mackenzie " Duncan, whom he unknowingly directs to Franklin's repossession assignment along with his friend Lamar Davis.

A short time later he buys a high-end supercar from Simeon Yetarian, an Armenian car salesman who sells the car to him at a absurb price in monthly installments. After being late on the first payment, Simeon gets his repossession man, the same Franklin " Mackenzie" Duncan ", to "repossess" the car from the De Santa home. However, Kyle spots Franklin sneaking in and hides in a rolled up rug in the backseat of the car prior to Franklin stealing it. Kyle reveals himself and holds Franklin at gunpoint, ordering him to go to Yetarian's shop and drive the car through the store's window. Afterwards, Kyle pays Franklin to leave and beats Yetarian to the brink of his life, threatening more violence if he pulls another of his sales tactics on him.

Events of GTA V(My Version)[]

At home, Kyle attempts to relax by his pool, only to be interrupted by Franklin, who takes up his earlier offering of a drink. Surprised that Franklin actually took it to heart, Kyle decides to take him out drinking. Unfortunately, his boat has been stolen by a small mexican gang. Enraged, Kyle along with Franklin drives after the boat, but is unable to rescue the yacht. Kyle becomes fond of Franklin after his impressive efforts, whom he tells to visit him any time.

After the fiasco with the boat, Kyle returns to see his tennis coach robbing his house leading him and a recently arrived Franklin to give chase. Furious beyond reasonable thought, Kyle chases the coach to an exotic house on the side of the Vinewood Hills. Kyle then orders Franklin to hook their truck's winch onto the supports of the house and he pulls them loose, causing the house to collapse, much to Franklin's shock and Kyle's joy also killing the coach in the process. However, it turns out that the house did not belong to the coach, but the girlfriend of a powerful Mexican cartel leader named Martin Madrazo, who sends his men after Kyle and Franklin. The two manage to kill them off, but Madrazo arrives at the De Santa residence. He hits Kyle with a bat before demanding that Kyle pay for the damages in an installment of two million dollars - money that Kyle does not have.

Out of Retirement[]

With no other choice, Kyle decides to return to bank robbing and contacts his old partner Leonardo Wintergreen. Leon agrees to help Kyle get the money if the latter agrees to sabotage founder of Lifeinvader, Jay Norris' phone. Kyle does so and causes Norris' death when he calls the entrepreneur's sabotaged phone, causing it to explode and kill him instantly. Kyle later meets up with Leonardo in a Garment factory outside town. They converse and talk about Kyle and his need for cash. After collecting information about the Vangelico Jewelry Store and its gems, Kyle and Leonardo set up a heist, with Kyle insisting that Franklin be a part, claiming that the experience will be something that he'll look forward to even with his somewhat low payment. Kyle and Leonardo set up the crew at the Garment factory. They discuss the details very clearly and then start the job. Franklin sets up tear gas in the air vents, knocking out everyone inside. Kyle and the rest of the crew then robs the Vangelico Jewelry store gaining more than 5 million dollars in jewels. They then escape into a construction opening and then drive into the LS river but the cops have already found them. Kyle then escapes the cops but ramming them with his truck and creating a distraction getting the heat off them. They then load the jewels and the bikes inside and drive to a safehouse. Leonardo then tells them of a guy that will pay for them and the crew splits up to avoid suspicion. Later, Kyle pays Martin Madrazo for the damages to the house he destroyed.

Working for the FIB[]

Soon after, Kyle agrees to meet Dave at the Galileo Observatory. When they get to the meeting point, Dave explains that Kyle's decision to rob the Vangelico Jewelry Store has cause superfluous attention from the FIB for Dave and if the the Bureau was to come across his files that contain information about the deal that both men made ten years ago, this would create a serious situation that neither one of them can escape from. Kyle proceeds to do tasks for Dave in order to help keep his career within the FIB, in exchange for covering up the crimes that Kyle commits. Kyle's first mission is to confirm the death of a suspect in a morgue. To do this, Norton knocks Kyle out and delivers him as a corpse to the morgue. Kyle wakes in the middle of the autopsy and then finds out that the suspect isn't dead by finding his name tag on a woman's corpse. Kyle escapes the morgue by killing all IAA agents in sight and jumping out a window. After escaping the police, Kyle calls Franklin and reveals that he is affiliated with the FIB, though Franklin continues to trust Kyle due to the latter offering him help while he was in a tough financial position. Franklin also decides to work with Kyle, in hopes that there will be better payment from jobs with him.

Dave then has another job for Kyle but wants him to meet his boss Steve Haines, a highly decorated but also highly corrupt FIB agent and Norton's superior between the IAA and FIB HQ's. Kyle and Haines quickly get off on a bad start. Haines threatens Kyle after a brief fight that Haines loses and forces him team up with Franklin and Gabriel(who met earlier) to extract a prisoner of the IAA, dubbed Mr. K. Kyle is forced to bring Franklin into this and Gabriel was called in advance. The three suit up and Franklin gets into position. Kyle and Gabriel then use a helicopter to fly to the IAA HQ. Kyle propels down the building to see the suspect being tortured. Kyle kills his torturer and clears the room of incoming IAA agents along with Franklin. When Kyle is being reeled into the chopper, IAA air forces then ambush the trio. Franklin takes out one helicopter and Kyle takes out the rest while being flown to the lot by Gabriel.

Hunting the Azerbaijai[]

Kyle gets a call from Dave to meet him at an abandoned warehouse. Kyle meets Gabriel and the two nearly get in an argument. Once inside, Gabriel automatically begins antagonizing Devin Weston( a friend of Steve Haines) and begins to recognize David. Steve reveals the reason for bringing them is for Gabriel to torture Mr.K to get him to reveal information of a suspected terrorist Tavir Javan and for Kyle and Dave to hunt his down and kill the suspect. The first location is a false lead and Gabriel breaks Mr.K's leg to get him reveal the suspect is in Chumash. After a coffee break, Kyle drives to Chumash and prepares his Sniper Rifle. Gabriel apparently having a good time torturing Mr.K smashes his testicles to reveal the terrorist's appearance. Kyle still is unable to find the suspect. Gabriel gets the rest of the information out of Mr.K and Kyle finally having a matching suspect and description silences him.

Merryweather Heist[]

Kyle later assists Gabriel in a heist of a cargo ship. Later, Gabriel contacts Kyle and Franklin to partake in his own heist; the mercenary group Merryweather and its unknown cargo at the docks. Kyle infiltrates the ship, plants the bombs and sinks it while Franklin snipes all opposition. The heist goes as planned and Gabriel finds a super-weapon that he plans to make use of. However, Leonardo arrives from his house to inform them about how it was a U.S superweapon and stealing it would put them on the run for years with no chance of escape. Gabriel arranges for it to be salvaged and Kyle gets a drink with Franklin and Leonardo.

Blitz Play[]

After the Merryweather heist, Kyle, along with Franklin and Gabriel are called upon by Haines and Norton. This time they must rob an armored truck filled with funds that the IAA has received due to drug sales. Haines wants those funds to help support the Bureau but does not fund the trio in anyway. The trio later gather the needed tools and vehicles for the mission including the garbage truck, tow truck, getaway vehicle, boiler suits and masks Kyle grabs the garbage truck and blocks the security van the IAA are using. Then Franklin smashes into the van with his tow-truck and manages to topple it. Franklin then plants the bombs destroying the doors and letting Kyle retrieve the cash. Unfortuantly, the cops were alerted and send several police officers to arrest/kill them. All three manage to fend off the police but begin to become outnumbered. Eventually, the police send snipers and even a helicopter but Gabriel quickly dispatches it. The police eventually are forced to back down after the massacre. Kyle takes the money to Steve's higher-up Devin Weston. Kyle is offered his dream job of becoming a movie producer if he steals 5 luxury cars for Weston along with Franklin and Gabriel. Kyle accepts and heads to Solomon for his first assignment.  His first job is to convince Ancelotti crime family made man Rocco Pelosi to obey Solomon's wishes for how the actors should behave during the production of Solomon's latest motion picture Meltdown. This gets Michael on Richard's good side and is promised the role of producer for the upcoming film if Michael continues his good work.

Caida Libre[]

Martin Madrazo later summons Kyle and Gabriel to his home. Madrazo, who now views Kyle as a friend, requests that he and Gabriel shoot down his cousin's airliner, which is carrying some sensitive files Madrazo wants back. Kyle drives to the van on the hill containing a remote sniper rifle and fires at Javier's plane causing it to descend. Gabriel then tails it till it crashes where he kills Madrazo's cousin and steals the files. Kyle then steals the sniper weapon and takes the van to his garage but Gabriel calls him later. Kyle finds out to his horror that due to them being used by Martin to do his dirty bidding while getting stiffed from payment, Gabriel has kidnapped Madrazo's wife Patricia. Knowing full and well what Madrazo might do to them if he catches them, Kyle agrees to hide out in Sandy Shores with Gabriel. While exiled in Sandy Shores, Haines and Norton summon the trio for another mission against the IAA. This time, the two agents plot to raid an IAA chemical plant to steal a dangerous neurotoxin that the agency is plotting to use in a simulated terrorist attack, with the sole purpose of receiving more funds from the US government. To carry out this operation, the trio must first secure enough funds to purchase a Cargobob and other assorted equipment that the FIB can't assign them. Ultimately, the crew settles upon robbing the Paleto Bay bank, as it contains millions of dollars deposited there by Blaine County's corrupt law enforcement who extort money from all the local weed farms and meth labs.

After planning the robbery, Kyle and Gabriel meet at Gabriel's trailer, where they have a short conversation and drink beer. They then leave the trailer and during the way, Gabriel receives a call from Franklin, who upon Gabriel's request is tailing the remaining O'Neil brothers - inbred, redneck meth dealers, who are vengeful because of Gabriel's earlier attack of the O'Neil household, resulting in the deaths of most of the O'Neils and the explosion of their farm. Franklin chases the O'Neils, who crash because of an elk on the road and escape in a forest, located somewhere in the Raton Canyon. Franklin then calls Gabriel for air support and eventually,Gabriel and Kyle come with a helicopter, used in the extraction of Ferdinand Kerimov, out of the IAA building. Using a rifle, fitted with a thermal scope, Kyle shoots Walton and Wynn O'Neil dead, but can't get a clear image of O'Neil gang leader Elwood O'Neil, who is hiding behind a rock and firing anti-tank rockets towards the helicopter. With the help of Chop, Franklin locates and kills Elwood, after which he and Chop are picked up by the helicopter and safely return back to Sandy Shores.

The Paleto Score[]

Using the stolen military equipment, the trio and another paid gunman are driven to the Bank score while talking about their first robbery. Franklin is dropped off at a location near the bay and Kyle, Gabriel and the other gunman rob the bank shooting the alarm in the process. Once, they successfully drain all the cash form the vaults, they suit up using stolen military gatling guns and bullet-proof suits. The Police are overwhelmed by the team's massive firepower sustaining heavy casulties and forcing them to retreat. The Police set a barricade at the bay preventing escape by water. The the military comes into play, sending dozens of soldiers. When even that fails, Tanks are sent to eliminate the group. Franklin saves them using Bulldozer and is able to drive them to a chicken factory. They face and kill dozens of military soldiers and infantry while attempting to escape. The gunman causes an distraction and escapes allowing Kyle, Gabriel and Franklin to board a train connecting to the factory. The trio escape and later are found by agent Sanchez. They are to give the money are receive small cuts in return angering them. The three split up with Franklin returning to Los Santos and Gabriel and Kyle doing another job. Both rob an Merryweather courier service when Gabriel jumps aboard the train and kills the driver. The Kyle on a boat goes to the bridge where another train collidies with it. They then rob the wreckage gaining million of dollars worth of merchandise. Once dealing with Merrweather reinforcements, they escape to a beach. They make conversation with Gabriel angered by Kyle's choice to repay Martin Madrozo. Kyle calms him down saying once they rid themsleves off the FIB, will begin the "Big Score".

Monkey Business[]

Kyle, Franklin, and Gabriel meet at Cape Catfish. Soon, Steve and Dave Norton arrive. Steve wants the protagonists to steal a chemical weapon from the Humane Labs and Research, an IAA research facility. Due to a lack of manpower, Steve and Dave join the caper. Steve instructs Gabriel and Franklin to handle transport, while Kyle joins Steve and Dave in infiltrating the lab. Kyle, Steve, and Dave, dressed in scuba suits, take a Dinghy down the San Andreas coast to a spot near Humane Labs and Research. The three dive and approach an underwater exhaust shaft. Kyle uses a torch to cut loose a grate over the shaft's access point. Once inside, the three swim through the shaft until they reach the interior of the lab. From there, the three advance through the halls. Kyle is armed with a LMG and is responsible for taking out the scientists and other employees encountered along the way. Soon, the three reach their destination. After convincing a scientist to open the lab door, Kyle is able to grab the chemical weapon. An alarm is triggered and armed security guards begin to appear. Kyle and the two FIB agents push through to the lab's garage area (Kyle is now encouraged to use his regular arsenal). Outside is a refrigeration unit meant to transport the chemical weapon; Kyle places the weapon in this container. Gabriel then uses a special CargoBob bought by Steve and Dave from the earlier job to lift the container. However, Steve suddenly insists that the heat is too great and that they call off the operation. Steve runs back into the lab's garage; there, he shoots himself in the leg, then presents himself as a hero to the arriving security agents. However, the United Liberty Paper Contact doesn't buy it and orders Haines to be detained. With refrigeration unit in tow, Gabriel flies to Sandy Shores Airfield, lowers the container onto a waiting truck, then lands the helicopter. Franklin and Kyle confer with Dave, who then leaves with the semitruck. After Dave is gone, Kyle checks his phone and sees that Martin Madrazo has accepted as apology the artifact Kyle and Gabriel stole.Kyle celebrates with Franklin, excited that he can finally return to Los Santos.

Surveying the Score[]

Gabriel,Kyle, and Franklin meet in Gabriel's office in the Vanilla Unicorn. Soon, Leonardo arrives. They are there to plan the "Big One," the heist of the Union Depository. They decide that Kyle and Franklin will surveil the Union Deposity Tower while Gabriel and Leonardo will follow a pair of Securicars doing a practice run to the Depository. Kyle and Franklin drive to the Tower and examine the Tower's front entrance and garage access. Both seem lightly guarded. Once their surveilance is complete, they call Gabriel who is driving with Leonardo to Sandy Shores Airfield. There, they board Gabriel's helicopter and fly towards Downtown Los Santos where they spot the Securicars moving west along Innocence Boulevard. Gabriel and Leonardo follow the Securicars as they navigate through downtown. Eventually, the Securicars pass through a tunnel beneath a skyscraper in Downtown. The Secruicars remain out of sight for several moments. When they reappear, they enter the Union Depository through the garage entrance. Having chosen the tunnal as the spot to hit the Securicars, Leonardo now wants to find an escape route. He asks Gabriel to hover over the nearby excavation site for the Los Santos Transit metro tunnel. Once Gabriel has positioned the helicopter, Leonardo investigates the area. This done, Gabriel takes Leonardo back to the Airfield while Kyle drives Franklin back to Franklin's home.

Burying the Hatchet[]

Gabriel visits Kyle at his house and plans to bust Brad Snider out of prison. Kyle, however, is reluctant to discuss Brad and this soon leads to a debate. While initially friendly, the two soon get into an argument about their respective futures. Kyle intends to retire in peace, while Gabriel accepts that a life of crime and violence is all he has. Eventually, their dispute brings Gabriel to the one question Kyle hoped he would never ask: Who was buried at his grave in North Yankton. Kyle however, claims he never gave it much thought. Gabriel, becoming ever more suspicious, threatens Kyle, claiming he is a "dead man", and storms out of the house. Kyle, realizing what Gabriel might be thinking, attempts to follow, but finds that Gabriel has stolen his car. While Gabriel is en route to Sandy Shores Airfield, Kyle calls him and attempts to talk him out of flying to North Yankton, but he refuses and hangs up. Both men travel back to Ludendorff, Gabriel via his plane at Sandy Shores (where he receives a call from Kyle, and calls Ron) and Kyle through Los Santos International Airport, (during the drive Kyle calls Gabriel to convince him to stop, and to warn Dave Norton that Gabriel knows about their secret). Kyle arrives at the airport, where some henchmen watch him check in. Once in North Yankton, Kyle drives to the cemetery. Along the way, he has flashbacks about the events that took place in 2004, like the set up he and Dave had planned, the heist in which Gabriel fled and when forced to move to Los Santos. Kyle also has flashbacks about his life as Kyle Shepard/Dreadwing before amnesia giving him mild paranoia. Gabriel calls Ron asking for a plane to use to take him across country, and Ron confirms a plane is at the Airfield fueled up and ready to use. Gabriel arrives at the Airfield and enters the plane and flies to North Yankton. While en route, he recieves a text message from Ron warning him that Wei Cheng's men are looking for him. Gabriel arrived at the graveyard first, he finds Kyle's grave and starts digging it up. Kyle finally arrives and finds Gabriel digging up his grave. He attempts to talk him out of digging up the grave again, but the efforts proved to be fruitless. When Gabriel digs up the grave and opens up the coffin his suspicions are confirmed, Brad was killed and buried in Kyle's place. Through Kyle's confession and a flashback, the true events of the heist come to light: the FIB caught up to Kyle and made him a deal to surrender Gabriel and Brad in exchange for protection. The heist in turn was a set-up to lure the crew into the FIB. Brad was shot and killed, while Kyle play-acted to convince Gabriel he was wounded as well. Gabriel and Kyle aim pistols at each other and have another argument over the grave, but before either one can shoot, the Triads arrive to capture Gabriel. Gabriel throws his gun at Kyle and escapes through the cemetery's main gate, whilst Kyle shoots at Gabriel. Kyle now returns to his car whilst fighting off the henchman. He eventually reaches his car, but finds it has been immobilised by Trevor. Some Triads arrive and order Kyle out of the car at gunpoint. With no other option, Kyle surrenders.

Rescue Party[]

Later, Franklin contacts Leonardo about Kyle's apparent disappearance. The two deduce that Kyle has been abducted, with Leonardo tracing Kyle's cellphone signal back to Los Santos after a brief trip to North Yankton. Leonardo suggests Franklin meet Gabriel for possible information. At Franklin's request, Leonardo calls Gabriel and asks him to meet Franklin at his old safehouse in Strawberry. Upon arriving at the home, Gabriel appears even more disturbed than usual, and takes great offence at Franklin laughing at him after he trips over a low fence. Franklin asks Gabriel if he knows what became of Kyle in North Yankton, and Gabriel informs him that they ran into Wei Cheng's men and he doesn't know if Kyle survived the shootout or not. Franklin tells him that Kyle is back in Los Santos and asks him for help in rescuing him. Gabriel refuses and leaves. While Franklin doesn't have much to go on, he manages to pinpoint Kyle's location by using an app on his phone called Trackify, which Leonardo provides (this is the same app used during The Merryweather Heist). As Franklin tries to look for him, Kyle, who is hanging upside down in a meat-packing plant tries to tell the leader Wei Cheng that he is not Gabriel's Ji Lao (gay friend), but Wei refuses to believe the truth and turns on the machine and leaves when he decides Gabriel will not be coming. Upon arrival at the Triad's hideout, a meat factory called Raven Slaughterhouse, Franklin finds a ladder which takes him to the roof of the factory, where a narrow walkway leads to the front of the building. At this point, Franklin sees two Triad members and kills them, guns blazing. Luckily, the triads are relatively bad shots. Franklin is sure he has the right location, as he hears Kyle's angered ranting from somewhere in the factory. After shooting through the Triads, Jacon turns a corner and sees Kyle alive, yet strung up by his feet and soon to be joining the other swaying, upside-down corpses as well if Franklin doesn't react quickly. Franklin then tosses Kyle a pistol. After both men clear out all of the Triads, Kyle lowers himself to the ground and is shown to be in a large amount of pain with blood on his shirt and holding his side. After the two escape the building they find a Coquette and a Feltzer parked outside the factory, however they soon find two triad members on their tail. Using one of them, Franklin and Kyle then escape and kill the gangsters and both of them head to Kyle's house. After being dropped off, Kyle thanks Franklin and heads into his house. Kyle washes the blood off himself and changes into a clean suit.

Cleaning out the Bureau[]

Kyle arrives at Backlot City where he discovers Rocco Pelosi and his associate Gianni attacking Solomon. As Kyle approaches, Pelosi yells at Solomon about honoring a contract, then he and his associate escape in Rocco's red Fugitive(a car). Solomon asks Kyle to track down and kill his two assailants. Kyle agrees. He pursues Pelosi and Gianni in a lenghty car chase and murders them both by a powerful grenade. Shortly after, he receives a call from Solomon, who thanks Kyle for his help and asks Kyle to come visit if he's free; to which Kyle accepts Solomon's invitation. Solomon shows Kyle the end credits of Solomon's current project; Kyle is now listed as a movie producer. Kyle sits for a while appreciating what he's accomplished. Later at Leonardo's request, Kyle arrives at Darnell Bros(the garment factory), where he meets Leonardo. Soon, the two are joined by FIB agents Dave Norton and Steve Haines. Haines explains that evidence regarding his illegal activity is starting to surface; he needs Kyle to destroy that evidence, but the only way to do so is by breaking into FIB Headquarters. Haines states that if Kyle does this large favor, Haines will delete Kyle's files. Kyle tells Haines that this is the last job he will perform. Haines blithely agrees and he and Norton leave. Kyle and Leonardo drive to FIB Headquarters. On the way, Leonardo lays out his plan. They will gain entrance to the building by assuming the identity of one of the building's janitors. Leonardo even has the man picked out, Harvey Molina. Kyle and Leonardo arrive at the entrance to the Headquarters' garage. When Molina exits, the two tail him to his apartment on Las Lagunas Boulevard in West Vinewood. Kyle follows Molina into his apartment, and there asks to purchase Molina's work clothes and ID. Molina readily agrees and Kyle takes the stuff and leaves.Kyle and Leonardo return to Darnell Bros where Franklin is waiting. In addition to the stuff Kyle took from Molina, Leonardo also needs a physical copy of the architectural plans for FIB Headquarters. These are in the possession of Chip Peterson, the building's designer, who has an office in Backlot City. Franklin agrees to tail Peterson to get the plans. Kyle then setups for the raid grabbing a Getaway vehicle and stealing a Fire-Truck. After Franklin got the architect's plans, both set up at Darnell Bros. Kyle arrives at the garment factory in time to see Leonardo preparing to torch the place, having decided that completing the upcoming FIB raid will result in the need to find a new base of operations. Franklin arrives soon after. After arriving at the headquarters,he enters the building and go to the turnstiles. Kyle shows the security guard Harvey Molina's ID, and is granted entry. Kyle goes to the elevator to the 49th floor. On the 49th floor, he heads for the maintenance room for the mop and bucket of water. He then uses this as a distraction mopping the floors up to the bathroom. After that, he plants the bomb in the open locker. After planting another bomb in n office and a locker he leaves the building. Kyle then detonates the bombs. After the top floors of the building explode, Franklin drives the fire truck to the FIB building. All crew members are in fireman's gear. They enter the building, ignoring the people standing there. Upon disembarking on the 47th floor, all have a limited supply of oxygen. They move to the server room, which is locked. They plant explosives on the door and blow it up. Kyle finds the mainframe and steals the hard drive. The crew then attempt to escape avoiding falling debris. A sudden explosion happens killing one of the members. They advance anyway getting the middle floor. While running, there is a sudden explosion, knocking Franklin unconscious. After waking up, the crew is a floor below him, he tries to get to them as quickly as possible. FIB agents start shooting him with pistols; he kill thems. The crew must now run to the elevator shaft and rappel down. After rappelling, they leave the building and get inside the fire truck. Kyle drives to the getaway location (the location where Kyle parked the getaway vehicle during the heist setup). They destoy the fire truck after getting out and runing far away from it. Finally, they go to Leonardo's house and celebrate with champagne. Kyle the goes to settle things with Norton.

The Wrap Up[]

Kyle and Norton meet at one of the lookout points in the Kortz Center. Kyle confirms that the raid at the FIB headquarters was successful and insists that Norton honor the promise to let Kyle and his friends go. Norton begins to explain that there's been a change of plans, but he is promptly interrupted by the arrival of Steve Haines and Andreas Sanchez; Haines orders Sanchez to arrest Kyle and Norton so that Haines can cover up the raid on the FIB. A four-way Mexican standoff occurs between the men. Norton attempts to talk them down. However, before they can lower their guns, a group of IAA agents led by the U.L. Paper Contact arrives and attempts to arrest all four of them. Almost immediately, a rival group of corrupt FIB agents appear, Haines demands to know who sent the tactical team and Sanchez betrays Haines by revealing that he is a double agent and that the FIB Team is working with him followed by a platoon of mercenaries from Merryweather Security with support from a Buzzard Attack Chopper. The situation quickly explodes into violence; Haines gets shot in the leg by an FIB agent and in turn shoots and kills Sanchez in the process, leading to an all-out fire fight. Haines quickly escapes. Norton and Kyle attempt to help each other but are almost immediately separated. Kyle fights his way towards Norton, killing dozens of FIB agents, but soon, another Merryweather helicopter, a Buzzard, appears and Kyle retreats to cover. Suddenly,Gabriel comes out of nowhere and kills the pilot of the Buzzard with a sniper rifle. He then makes himself known to Kyle. Kyle asks if Gabriel has come to kill him. Gabriel says he's not there to kill Kyle at the moment, but he also won't allow the FIB or anyone else to deny him the right to take Kyle's life. Gabriel returns to the assault, taking out enemies in the Center's courtyard while Norton crosses the area. Eventually, Gabriel leaves and Kyle manages to escape with Norton. Norton tells Kyle that he will be in touch, then leaves. Gabriel calls Kyle and the two agree to meet behind a pawn shop in Morningwood. There, the two argue. Gabriel states that he no longer trusts Kyle, but that he still wants to finish off their last big score, the Union Depository. The two call Leonardo Wintergreen, who states he will start organizing the heist. Gabriel threatens Kyle a final time, then leaves.

Legal Trouble[]

After arriving at Solomon's office, Kyle is surprised to find Devin Weston and his assistant Molly Schultz there. Devin proceeds to explain that, being one of the two shareholders (the other being Solomon Richards "idiot" son) in Richards Majestic Productions, he plans to pull the plug on their latest movie in order to receive a massive insurance payout. With that money, he will pay off Solomon's son to agree to tear the film lot down in order for Devin to build condos, tax free.Solomon tries to protect the movie reel, to no avail as Molly takes the film from his arms. Solomon then sends Kyle to intercept Molly who is taking the movie reel (Meltdown) to a unknown discreet offshore location by plane. By the time Kyle arrives at Los Santos International Airport, Molly has received a police escort team paid for by Devin Weston. Kyle pursues Molly on the airport runways, causing huge amounts of mayhem along the way. Eventually the police order Molly to pull over, but they are ignored until Molly stops at Devin Weston's hangar. Molly, who is aware of Kyle relentlessly pursuing her, runs into the hangar in a panic, where she is sucked into the jet engine, dropping the film. Kyle collects the film and escapes the cops.In a phone call with Solomon, Kyle learns that there were backups of the film due to it being shot on green screen, making the chase, Devin's plans and Molly's death all for nothing. However, he is soon cheered up by Solomon announcing that Meltdown will have a full-fledged Vinewood premiere. Later, he is called by Lester to help Franklin save his friend Lamar from being killed by the Ballas. Kyle, Jacon and Gabriel tear through the Ballas, manage to rescue Lamar and Kyle goes to his mansion to prepare for the Meltdown premier.

The Big Score[]

Kyle called by Leonardo, Gabriel and Franklin. Meeting at the Vanilla Unicorn strip club, all of them discuss the Union Depository. Kyle buys and modifies all Gauntlets and buys traps for the Heist as well as stealing a police van for weapons and equipment. Once everything is done, Leonardo calls everyone to setup the heist. With everyone suited up and ready, they begin the Big Score. The crew gets into a truck and waits out the Securicars. Once the target van are in sight, they deploy the spike trap deflating the Securicars tires. Kyle and Gabriel along with the other two gunman start pointing their guns at the windows of the vans forcing the occupants of the vehicles to surrender as hostages. Another van appears(belonging to Leonardo), and requested to change the tires. Kyle and Gabriel drive to the Union's back entrance and park in reverse. Both are successful getting in the building and the check for their ID's. The follow the manager to the deposit of Gold underground and take it back to the Securicars. Once done, they quickly exit. Kyle follows Gabriel in leaving but Merryweather had caught to the plan and realizied they stole the Gold. Franklin using a laptop to control the traffic lights of the city help Kyle & Gabriel escape from the Merryweather troops. Franklin easily changed the traffic lights using the assigned buttons and stop Merryweather from spotting them by turning the lights to red. Due to the excellent hacker: Paige Harris, the job was successful. Now Kyle and Gabriel have parked the Securicars. They open the doors to transfer the packs of gold to four modified Gauntlets. However, the Merryweather troops show up. This engages a large shootout. Kyle, Gabriel and Franklin stall Merryweather to protect the crew while they transfer the gold from the Securicars to the Gauntlets. Eventually all the Merryweather troops are killed off. The crew then takes the Gauntlets begin the escape. After going to the freeway, a LSPD Maverick shows up. The crew drives into two trailers waiting for the four Gauntlets evading the police. Later, Leonardo has his people lock the Gold down till he gets a signal to melt it and make money of it. Kyle drives Franklin and Gabriel to his house where Leonardo is waiting. Unfortuantly, all four get into a massive argument making their relations bitter for the moment.

The Third Way[]

Devin Weston shows up at Franklin's house and attempts to convince Franklin to kill Michael De Santa. After Devin leaves, Franklin is given a set of three options: Kill Trevor (A), Kill Michael (B), or Deathwish (C). For help, he calls and visits Leonardo. Franklin and Leonardo, at first, seem to not have any hope of thinking of a way so both Gabriel and Kyle survive. But after a brainstorm, Leonardo comes up with a plan to avoid having to kill either Kyle Andrews or Gabriel Wilson. The plan is to lead the FIB and Merryweather into a trap at the foundry under the pretense of melting down the gold there from the Union Depository heist. Franklin picks up Lamar Davis at his home and they go to the foundry, with Lamar having newfound respect for Franklin for doing this for both Gabriel and Kyle rather than himself. Lamar waits outside while Franklin goes inside to find Kyle and Gabriel arguing and about to kill each other; Kyle with a sniper rifle and Gabriel with a combat MG, but he easily stops them. Lamar then warns Franklin about the FIB agents approaching fast towards the foundry and their location, and Kyle, Gabriel, and Franklin team up to kill all of the FIB agents and Merryweather mercenaries sent against them in one swift ambush. Then Kyle, after not receiving any communication from Gabriel, must go over to where Gabriel was positioned to check on him . Then, Kyle and Gabriel fight their way out of the foundry and help Franklin kill off any remaining FIB and Merryweather forces in the area. Finally, after all of the agents and mercenaries are killed, the trio take a moment to catch their breaths. Then Franklin brings up the fact that they've still got work to do, namely pick off different people who either betrayed or tried to kill the trio in the past.

Steve Haines had previously made Kyle, Franklin, Gabriel, Leonardo and various others commit various crimes in order to advance his own career before attempting to betray Kyle to the FIB and then asking Franklin to kill Gabriel. Gabriel initially wanted to kill Agent Dave Norton as well, most likely for killing Brad in North Yankton nine years ago and for being Haines' lackey; however, Kyle tells him that they need Norton alive so no one comes after them later. Devin Weston had similarly employed all three and Lamar to steal various expensive cars without paying them as he had promised, then tried to shut down a movie that Kyle produced and later asked Franklin to kill Kyle. Wei Cheng had decided against working with Gabriel and his drug manufacturing enterprise and work with one of his business rivals, the O'Neil Brothers (Gabriel had already killed off The Lost MC and the Aztecas prior), all of whom (except Elwood, Walton and Wynn, who drove off to meet Wei and his son Tao Cheng) were later killed at their ranch and their operation was destroyed by Gabriel, resulting in Elwood seeking revenge on Gabriel by attempting to blow up Floyd's condo with anti-tank rockets, where Gabriel was residing in Sandy Shores (Elwood, Walton and Wynn were later killed following their own vengence against Gabriel). In retaliation to Elwood's murder, Wei and his triads had attempted to kill Gabriel by holding Kyle hostage, believing the two to be lovers, although Kyle was saved by Franklin with the two killing all the witnesses during their escape (Gabriel and Kyle weren't on speaking terms due to Gabriel discovering the truth behind Brad's fate in North Yankton during a botched robbery). Stretch, a long time imprisoned Chamberlain Gangster Families OG, had begun associating with a rival faction, the Ballas, while incarcerated in the Bolingbroke Penitentiary and, after being released (and after Stretch ironically killed D due to D setting up Franklin and Lamar for a previous grievance), had attempted to get Franklin and Lamar killed by the Ballas by luring them into a trap (fortunately they were saved by Gabriel who had accompanied him). Stretch then finally told Lamar that they could buy weed from the Ballas at a Paleto Bay sawmill but made an ambush for Lamar, but Franklin, Gabriel and Kyle save him. Leonardo tells the group that Agent Haines is filming his television show on the Del Perro Pier; Gabriel agrees to this job since he has hated Haines since the moment they met. Leonardo then locates Stretch, through his phone signal, at the B.J. Smith Recreation Center, and Kyle is put on this assignment as he had no known run-ins with Stretch, which would throw suspicion away from Franklin. Leonardo then informs Franklin that Tao Cheng, Wei's son, used his credit card at the beach club in Pacific Bluffs; Franklin is an unknown to the Triads. Leon agrees to phone the three later when he locates Devin Weston. The three each split up, locate, and take out their targets, wiping out the Ballas (Kyle), Steve Haines (Gabriel) and the Triads (Franklin) in the process. Later, Leonardo locates Devin Weston and gives his location to Gabriel. Gabriel makes his way through a battalion of eight Merryweather guards patrolling the house to get to Weston. After Gabriel makes his way through the Merryweather security forces, he finds Weston hiding in a trunk near the pool. Gabriel punches Weston, knocking him unconscious, and carries him to his car in the drive-way. Gabriel throws Weston in the trunk and drives it to meet up with Franklin and Kyle.As Gabriel drives out of Weston's driveway, he informs Franklin and Kyle that he has Weston and suggests they meet at a cliff at the Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness and "make him disappear". Weston regains consciousnes to find himself in the trunk. Realising what Gabriel is doing, Weston attempts using flattery and bribes to bargain for his life, offering Gabriel anything his immense wealth can acquire if he joins Weston's private army. Gabriel tells Weston that he does not care about Weston's bribes; he just wants to kill him. Weston then attempts to bribe Gabriel with money, but Gabriel reveals that he is already gold rich and tells Weston that he has nothing to offer. Gabriel then tells Weston that he has nothing left in life and should prepare for his death. Weston then summons the last of his will and vows revenge against the three despite only having minutes left to live. Gabriel arrives at the cliff and informs Weston that they have enough time left for some "one-on-one time."A few hours later, Kyle arrives and asks Gabriel if they are "good," with Gabriel happily agreeing. Kyle lights up a cigarette, but thinks better of it and throws it off the cliff. Franklin arrives before Kyle asks Gabriel if he has got Weston (although Kyle assumed it). Gabriel opens the trunk of the Tornado to reveal a badly bleeding and naked Weston. Franklin taunts Weston about his choice of ending, before Kyle taunts Weston about two great evils of capitalism that he has performed (betraying everyone he has ever known, as well as Steve Haines, all the major antagonists, Don Percival and his own company) because in Kyle's words, Weston was "big enough and bad enough" to not play by the rules and walk offshore alone as a free man. Kyle states that neither he, Franklin or Gabriel would ever do such a thing, and inform a dying (injured) Weston to "keep your problems the fuck out of America." Gabriel states that it makes sense when Kyle says it like that and Kyle agrees. Kyle, Gabriel and Franklin bid Weston farewell and a "thanks" for the final advice. Weston then takes one last look at the sky and the whole world before Kyle closes the trunk, leaving him to die a slow and painful death. The three push the Tornado with Weston in the trunk off a cliff and into the ocean below, with the car exploding, killing Weston. Following Weston's death, Gabriel asks what they're going to do now, with Kyle responding that they are going to lay low for a while then get on with their lives, with Gabriel suggesting as friends, and Kyle accepting, as "flawed, awful, totally uncomfortable, and poorly matched friends." Gabriel then states that they could then go back to the "capitalism they practice," planning even more heists, but being better funded with the money from the Union Depository, but this time with Franklin saying that what they'll do will not be as different as what Weston did. Gabriel then tells Kyle that his therapist has a lot to answer to for, which Kyle calmly agrees too, saying that even though he hates himself, now he knows how to say it, responded by Gabriel asking if he has to go to a therapy session because he hates Kyle. Sensing another argument, Franklin backs away from the the two, telling him that they terrify him of middle-age, heading to his Bagger and starting to drive-off. Kyle soon follows after him, but not before announcing his official retirement to Gabriel, claiming he is "too old for this nonsense".

GTA Aftermath[]

After all major opposition to Gabriel, Franklin and himself have been dealt with, Kyle lays low for a while. Due to Kyle being at peace again, his old " Kyle Shepard " persona comes back more frequently. Kyle back in his real persona for a few minutes uses a Green Lantern ring that his real self hid when the time was perfect. Using his personal GL ring, Kyle is able to remove his amnesia. Kyle having back his real personality, is immediately regretful of all the things he was forced to do or did while under amnesia. He attempts to set things right starting with his body which is now lethargic and heavily ridden with impurities. After 17 months of getting back in shape to his peak-human levels, riding himself of all bodily impurities, spying on all targets, taking care of all business before his amnesia and getting his weapons ready, Kyle sets out to kill all potential threats and restore himself for good.

His first target, the FIB Headquarters is destroyed, all of it's corrupt agents killed and files about Kyle, Gabriel and Franklin are erased forever. His next target the IAA is similarly destroyed and has it's agents murdered one by one. Kyle also collects both destroyed agencies funding from drug-dealing and government funding in his own private accounts. He then kills Isiah Friedlander: his therapist who made a book of his alternate personality's life. Kyle later finds the gang responible for taking his boat a long while ago(Marabunta Grande) and eradicates them but the boat is destroyed beyond repair. Kyle assists Gabriel in taking over Fort Zancudo, a military base outside of Los Santos and Blaine County known for racism, assault, dealing with local gangs, etc. In return, Gabriel helps Kyle hunt down and end several gang operaions and eventually Los Santos has one of the lowest crime rates in the entire country.

Another in list of targets, Simeon Yetarian; a corrupt car dealer who once tried to steal his car is killed gruesomely in his office. Kyle begins a crusade to shut down Lifeinvader to remove Jay Norris remaining influence as well as destroying Devin Weston's holding company and his various properties and monopolys and stealing his fortune via hacking and cyber-crime. The reformed trio eventually hit Martin Madrazo, destroying his cartel and bombing his mansion. The trio also goes after Merryweather and it's founder eventually destoying the massive paramilitary network in the span of less than 7 months. Kyle assists his friend in getting out of his drug addiction and mind warping from the FOXDIE virus and soon enough Gabriel is restored to normal as well. Additionally, Franklin reveals his true nature as an alien and why he foresaw most of the events. All three keep in touch in later events while Kyle move back to Gotham, restores his name back to Kyle Shepard and creates the Shepard Corporation.

Arkham Origins[]

After his return to Gotham, Kyle has his attention focused on bringing Gotham back to the nearly-saved city it was before he lost his memory, not the decaying city he sees now. Kyle first starts by scouting out the city and all of it's major players. Two-Face has returned after his brutal torture at the hands of Dreadwing, the Penguin has returned to power once again and a new villain by the name of Black Mask has appeared. On Christmas Eve, Dreadwing appears after his nearly decade-long disappearance at Blackgate prison where Black Mask has staged a breakout. Dreadwing defeats the inmates attacking the weakened guard force before heading after Black Mask. Black Mask nearly executes corrupt police commissionar Loeb for no longer being useful. Dreadwing intervenes and defeats Black Mask's guards forcing him to flee. Dreadwing then executes the commissioner himself for his illegal activites. Black Mask leaves in a helicopter leaving Dreadwing to fight Killer Croc who is hired as an assassin. Dreadwing easily defeats Killer Croc and Croc ends up trapped in broken railing over the ocean. Dreadwing interogates Killer Croc by punching him and makes him reveal that Black Mask has known about his arrival and has hired 8 assassins to kill him for a 50 million dollar bounty. Dreadwing then leaves Killer Croc to fall in the rocks near the ocean while he escapes the GCPD via Obsidian(customized fighter jet). He later retrieves Croc to experiment on him and his reptilian physiology.

Back in the cave, he learns of the eight assassins hired to kill them including their histories, powers, abilities and skills. Also, he hopes to draw out the assassins and find Black Mask's location, Dreadwing makes his way to Jezebel plaza to interrogate the Penguin who is in the middle of a arms deal. Dreadwing interrupts the deal and defeats the thugs but the Penguin escapes. Dreadwing collects the arms before following Penguin to an abandoned ship where he finds one of the assassin's: the Electrocutioner. Dreadwing knocks Electrocutioner out in one blow and then fights the rest of Penguin's gang. He confronts the Penguin and defeats his bodyguards but once he is done is ambushed by Deathstroke who he defeats quite easily from their last battle during the Brainiac invasion. He leaves Deathstroke hanging with a sword through his gut. Dreadwing then interrogates Penguin by electrical torture and learns of a recent murder at Black Mask's residence. He leaves but Anarchy begins placing bombs around Gotham and he becomes sidetracked finding and disarming all of them. After he finds all of them, he confronts Anarchy and drowns him. He reaches Black Mask's towers and deduces using the evidence left that Black Mask was not the victim and that the Joker has reappeared. Needing more information, he infiltrates the GCPD HQ undetected gaining more detailed information on the Joker's and Black Mask's wereabouts.

Dreadwing later is assisted by Oracle who asks him to clear out Black Mask's thugs underneath GCPD HQ in the sewers who are planting bombs. After immediately doing so, he deduces that the Joker kidnapped Black Mask to gain access to Gotham Merchant's bank. At the bank, Black Mask reveals he is the Joker in disguise and had replaced the real Black Mask and taken over his criminal empire while placing the bounty on Dreadwing. After escaping, Dreadwing is lured by a baby crying a carriage but it's a recording. He later encounters Lady Shiva and keeps up long enough to defeat her with a tear gas batarang. Dreadwing follows the Joker to Sionis Steel Mill with intentions to kill him but is stalled by Copperhead who infects Dreadwing with a powerful poison while he was interrogating the real Black Mask. He had already made an antidote for all of Copperhead's known poisons and sends for an antidote once he finds which one it is. He begins to see hallucinations such as the deaths of his parents, his fall from grace into a bankrobber and Jason Todd's demise/start of darkness. He fights several hallucinations of Copperhead including the real one before receiving the antidote from his unmanned plane. He then effortlessly defeats Copperhead managing to get the information that Joker and his assassin's are meeting before placing a explosive collar around her neck and throwing her into shipping crate and throwing it into the ocean trapping her.

Chasing after the Joker, Dreadwing is nearly shot by Deadshot and corners him inside an abandoned hotel and beats him to death after defeating his men. Dreadwing heads to Royal Hotel and witnesses the Joker kill the Electrocutioner by throwing him out a window. Dreadwing takes his armor and his shock gloves before blowing up his corspe. He finds out Joker's men have taken the building, murdered the staff and taken the guests hostage. He reaches the top floor after defeating dozens of guards and freeing the hostages but is encountered by Bane. He fights Bane easily defeating and branding him with the Bat-symbol. Bane escapes by helicopter and fires a rocket at the Joker who crashes near the edge of the rooftop. Dreadwing kicks him off leaving him barely alive at the base of the building and arrested by the GCPD. Firefly later places several bombs on Pioneer bridge forcing Dreadwing out to fight him. Firefly attempts to destroy the bridge but is stopped by Gordon's bomb squad. Firefly is later defeated and killed when Dreadwing runs him into a bomb. However, another assassin, Integra enters the fray to claim his bounty. Kyle and Integra fight for nearly two hours on the bridge before The GCPD force them off. The Joker later instigates a riot at Blackgate prison. Dreadwing and Gordon work together to defeat the breakout at Arkham. In the center of blackgate prison, the Joker is strapped to a chair that will kill him unless Dreadwing kills Bane. Dreadwing is about to let Joker die but is stalled by an attacking Bane who forces him to beat Bane to death. When the Joker is about to leave, Dreadwing nearly kills him only to stopped by the arrival of Batman.

Kyle begins hunting new villain Mr. Freeze after he makes an attempt on Mr. Boyle, CEO of Gothcorp. He finds various evidence such as a man dying of heat stroke, signs of a pistol-whipping and fingerprints on a gurney that belong to his own wife Nora Fries who has Huntington's Chorea. After analyzing all the evidence and hacking in security cameras, Dreadwing finds the truth: Mr. Freeze, then known as Dr. Victor Fries, had entered a deal with Boyle to work on Cryogenic weapons in exchange for researching a cure for Huntingston Chorea. Despite their deal, Victor found out Boyle had zero intention of meeting his end of the bargain and was more interested in Victor's ability to put Nora in cyro-stasis. Victor puts matters into his own hands and attempts to research a cure behind Boyle's back. Boyle discovers this and has Nora confiscated and beats Victor even pistol whipping him. During the struggle, a cryogenic cannon goes off and Boyle leaves Victor and his guards for dead. Victor developed a suit to stabilize his condition while the guards died. Kyle realizes Victor's action were out of desperation for his wife and Victor is actually sparring Boyle. Kyle sets out to help Freeze while simutaneouly stopping Boyle. He develops a hatred for Boyle as he reminds him of Devin Weston. He sends the incriminating data to the GCPD and goes to Freeze's lab to obtain his Cryodrill. He finds Freeze and tells him that Boyle will pay that together they can save Nora. However, Boyle attempts to shoot Victor before Dreadwing breaks his arms, shatters his jaw, freezes his brain and encases him in an electrified block of ice underwater ensuring he'll be in a position just like Nora. Dreadwing then gives Freeze high grade medical equipment to assist him in Nora's revival. When Boyle is sinking underwater, Dreadwing taunts him that Gothcorp now belongs to the Shepard Corporation.

Arkham City Project[]

Six months after his victory over the Joker and Black Mask are defeated, both Blackgate prison and Arkham Asylum have been destroyed due to being deemed incompent. The Mayor Quincy Sharp then begins a reform of Gotham. His first act is to announce ruined Arkham Asylum and Blackgate Prison both unfit to house criminals, sane or insane. He then undertakes a bold new project: To move all the former inmates of incarceration at both places into a walled-off urban district, Arkham City. This will be a city only for villains, and is made up of Gotham City's most notorious slums, including Crime Alley. To guard the perimeter of Arkham City the mayor does away with Arkham Asylum's old security force and replaces them with professional mercenaries from a private military organization, TYGER (who are subjugated to brainwashing by Sharp). Once all the criminals are trapped inside the prison city, they are told they may do as they please, but there is only one rule: Do not try escaping or you'll be shot dead. This is supported by the TYGER mercenary forces, who enforce this policy through the liberal use of their firearms on any escaping denizens of Arkham City. Since the entire population of Arkham is made up of criminals running wild on the streets, Sharp secretly hopes they will destroy each other inside walled confinement instead of committing crimes in Gotham. With the criminals free to do whatever they want short of escaping, bloody turf wars erupt as various super-villains carve up Arkham City among themselves. A mysterious figure named Dr. Hugo Strange, an Arkham psychiatrist, is placed at the helm of the project by Sharp, but little is known about his objectives or his shadowy past, and rumors soon run rampant that he is up to horrible things behind Arkham City's walls. Those who try and find out too much about Arkham or Strange one by one mysteriously vanish by night, and it is implied most end up inside the city themselves, to be torn apart by the inmates. Batman whos on a mission calls in Dreadwing to investigate. When Kyle investigates in his civilian guise, Kyle is captured by TYGER mercanaries. Strange interogates Kyle revealing his knowledge of his Dreadwing identity and releases him to Arkham City.

Arkham City[]

Before this Strange mentions Protocol 10 now that Kyle is out the way. Kyle later saves Jack Ryder from muggers and other criminals. Afterwards, Kyle is held at gunpoint by a mugger behind him working for the Penguin. Oswald begins to attack Kyle but Kyle breaks his hand , frees himself from his handcuffs and defeats all thugs in his sight. Kyle then signals the Cave to send him a suit. Once suited up, he sets out to find the story behind Arkham City. Dreadwing programs a stolen TYGER communications chip into his cryptographic sequencer, which enables him to listen in on TYGER's communications.

Doing this, Dreadwing is able to find out that Catwoman has been captured by Two-Face and his gang, who is planning to publicly trial and execute her at the Soloman Wayne Courthouse. Believing that Catwoman could have valuable information on "Protocol 10", Dreadwing resolves to save her. Dreadwing is able to save Catwoman and restrain Two-Face. When Dreadwing asks her about Protocol 10, Catwoman doesn't know what he's talking about, but she believes that Strange could possibly be working with Joker. At that moment, a sniper round aimed at Catwoman is fired into the courthouse and misses her by millimeters. Dreadwing manages to get her out of the way and tells her that it's not safe.

After Dreadwing heads outside, Batman finally arrives. Batman arrogantly tells him to leave but Dreadwing instead monitors his progress through Arkham city. When he overhears the Joker shipping his contaimnated blood to dozens of hospitals in Gotham, he leaves Arkham to warn them. He is assisted by Robin( Tim Drake) and together both are able to reverse the effects caused by the Joker. Dreadwing then aimlessly wanders Arkham City killing any inmate he comes across. He is able to smuggle undeserving people that have been thrown in Arkham City because they attempted to report strange's plans.

Suddenly, Dreadwing is attacked by a ninja bearing the insignia of Talia al Ghūl's elite guard. Using a blood trail to track the ninja, Dreadwing proceeds to follow her. Along the way, he is ambushed by more assassins, but holds his own. They eventually are forced to retreat as he kills most of their force. Resuming his search for Rā’s al Ghūl, Dreadwing tracks the trail of the assassins to the abandoned Wonder City, which is functioning as the headquarters of the League of Assassins. He leads Batman to this hideout and waits for a signal for another mission. Later on, Dreadwing realizes that Protocol 10 was a ploy to gather every criminal in Gotham and wipe them from the Earth. Dreadwing sits and watches criminals getting blown to pieces gleefully watching as criminals caused the death of his parents. Dreadwing even summons missiles from the Cave to assist in the carnage. Once inside, Strange contacts Batman over the PA system and says that the crime problem was his fault to begin with and his presence created an environment in which the criminal element has spiraled out of control, and there was never any way to truly rid Gotham of crime, until now. Batman proceeds up Wonder Tower and eliminates Strange's personal guards before confronting him in his office. Incapacitating Strange, Batman contacts Oracle and tells her to shut down Wonder Tower. She succeeds, and Protocol 10 is halted.

Later Dreadwing finds Batman and the Joker conversing on the cure to both of their conditions. Knowing full well that Batman would save the Joker, he knocks Batman unconcious. When the Joker demands the cure, Dreadwing pauses for a moment, stating that, because of all the misery he has caused, all the lives he has either ended or ruined, and that no matter how many times he apprehended him, he would just escape and continue to cause more pain and misery; he felt that Joker did deserve to die a thousand times. Joker desperately tries to take the cure by force, stabbing Dreadwing in the arm. However, he inadvertently causes Dreadwing to drop the vial, shattering it onto the floor. Screaming in horror, Joker tries desperately to drink what is left of the now useless cure from the floor. Dreadwing watches with a look of glee saying he hated the Joker from the fateful day, he killed his parents and before and to see him desperately going for the cure finally brings him the peace he yearned for decades. Seconds later, the Joker succumbs to the Titan poison.

Arkham Knight []

On Halloween night, Scarecrow releases a new strain of Fear toxin in a diner that drives everyone to maul each other to death. Scarecrow then threatens to release the toxin all over the city and anyone not wanting to be caught will evacuate the city. Six million of Gotham's citizens are evacuted leaving the city's criminal scum behind and leaving the remaining GCPD outnumbered. Using a tip from Gordon, Dreadwing captures Ivy from Scarecrow's thugs as she was one of the only surviving villains to not agree to kill Batman. He imprisons her within a containment cell to secure her. Dreadwing locates Scarecrow's toxin source at Ace Chemicals but is encountered by the Arkham Knight who corners him with his militia but escapes with assistance from Batman.

Scarecrow reveals the entire building into a toxin bomb. Both Dreadwing and Batman disable the bombs to limit the blast radius to only the building itself but Batman blacks out. Dreadwing escapes with an unconcious Batman and learns from blood tests that his former mentor is physically transforming into the Joker. When Batman comes to, he tells Dreadwing that he along with 4 other people where infected with Joker's blood and they are also mentally transforming into him as well as physically. Dreadwing attempts to synthize another Titan cure to cure Batman and the patients. Meanwhile, Dreadwing has found out Scarecrow had recruited businessman Simon Stagg to create Cloudburst( a mass disperal device for the fear toxin). Dreadwing interrogates and kills Stagg then infiltrates Stagg's airship to find Cloudburst. The Arkham Knight attempts to seize Cloudburst but is overpowered by Dreadwing. However, Batman becomes incapcitated forcing Dreadwing to help and give up Cloudburst.

Both escape the airship and travel to a base Batman has constructed which is under siege by Harley Quinn. The Joker-ized patients are being held here but when theyre released, one kills all the others and commits suicide believing Batman to be the perfect Joker vessel. The Arkham Knight activates Cloudburst which floods the city with Fear toxin. Dreadwing destroys Cloudburst then convinces Poison Ivy to use her powers on an ancient tree to free the city from fear toxin. She succeeds in dispeling the fear toxin but is killed from the strain. Dreadwing hardly laments over her death, saying that was her redemption. Dreadwing later encounters the Arkham Knight once more now revealed as Jason Todd. Jason was tortured by the Joker for a year while as Batman's sidekick and was left for dead. Thinking he was abandoned, he vowed revenge on not only Batman but Dreadwing who he viewed as a big brother figure.

Dreadwing defeats Jason and offers to help him but he resists.Realizing Jason will forever be haunted by his torture, he kills him to end his pain.Scarecrow then uses Jason's militia to destroy the remaining GCPD but is stopped by the combined force of Batman and Dreadwing. In order to save Robin and Gordon from being killed as they were kidnapped prior, Batman surrenders to Scarecrow. Dreadwing frees both of them before Scarecrow attemepts to remove Batman's mask. Dreadwing arrives in the nick of time to stop him hooking him up to a electric chair device and gives him constant massive dosages of Fear toxin forever breaking the Scarecrow into a slavering, broken wreck.

Afterwards, Deathstroke attempts to kill Dreadwing for his humiliating defeat in Origins. Now having a powerful militia behind him, Deathstroke attempts to kill Dreadwing again however, Dreadwing defeats Deathstroke and his militia but not before breaking his jaw, right arm and robbing him of all his armor and weapons leaving him as an example. Dreadwing later tracks three organizations that are attempting to be the successor to the Dark Knight: the League of Assassins, The cult of Blackfire and the Order of St. Dumas. Dreadwing easily destroys the cult after killing their lead priest and routs the Order after defeating Azrael. The league attempts to resurrect Ra's al Ghul with the Lazarus formula but Dreadwing steals the formula and hides it back in the cave.

Dreadwing finds Killer Croc attempting to kill a prison warden in a local pententiary. Dreadwing finally kills Croc and in turn saves the warden. Two-Face begins robbing banks all across Gotham but is stopped by Dreadwing who tortures Two-Face before finally killing him. Dreadwing captures the Penguin's arms storage deposits before finally catching up to Penguin himself and killing him. After all the villains who orchestrated the evacuation of Gotham are killed he finally allows the GCPD to take over Gotham. After both heros reclaim Gotham, Gordon summons the GCPD to take back the streets. Two months after, Kyle attends Oracle and Robin's wedding with Gordon as mayor. Dreadwing salvages all the destroyed wreckages of Jason's militia and takes the mantle of Arkham Knight for himself to use on occasion.

Recovery[]

Still recovering from his fall from grace, Kyle sets out to retrain his fighting skills form across the world in a similar fashion to Batman in order to clear his head and augment his abilities to their former levels. He travels first to meet Ted Grant also known as Wildcat to train him as he is known to do this for many superheroes including his mentor Batman. Ted trains Kyle in boxing for nearly a year until Kyle beats Ted in a no-holds boxing match. Ted then trains Kyle in more advanced techniques until Kyle manages to take four of the older fighter's nine lives in a real to the death battle. Afterwards, Ted gives Kyle his blessings and in return for his training, Kyle gives Ted a large sum of money. During this time, Shepard Corporation becomes a powerhouse rivaling Wayne Enterprises and Lex Corp.

Using the Lazarus Formula as leverage, he has the League of Assassin's under the tutelage of David Cain, Doctor Dark and even Ra's al Ghul under the guise of the Despolier. Afterwards, he fights all of his former mentors defeating them with ease. While under the guise of the Despolier, he kills Doctor Darkk and captures his unique brand of poisons. He begins a large plan to destroy the league from the inside. However, he is confronted by Ra's al Ghul, Ubu and Lady Shiva. in his chambers. Despite easily defeating Ra's and his bodyguard, he is narrowly defeated by Shiva. Forced to flee from Shiva, he escapes and abandons the Despolier guise.

He then begins his personal crusade against the league targeting their businesses, bases of operations, warehouses and hotspots around the world. Along the way, he disrupts several of the league's assassination attempts on others and himself. Eventually, the league is severly weakened through his continued attacks and disruptions and is on the verge of collasping. Bringing back his Dreadwing persona, Kyle fights and kills Ra's al Ghul again and steals/drains each and every one of his Lazarus Pit's putting him as the League's number one target. He escapes and hides out in Gotham destroying all evidence that could be tracked.

Kyle later travels the world learning from several renowned martial arts masters including fighters from Tibet, Lady Shiva(who he gained the respect after narrowly winning in their second match), Bronze Tiger and even Richard Dragon. He travels to Thailand training under Mauy Thai legend Sagat and his apprentice Adon. During this kyle adopts a Lion-motif like Sagat and Adon who use a Tiger and Jaguar theme. He trains under Sagat for 2 years with Adon until he decides to test his pupils to see how strong they have become. Kyle fights Adon and wins before being challenged by Sagat for the " King of Mauy Thai " using the Mauy Thai only. After a long fight, Kyle defeats Sagat and is granted the " Emperor of  Mauy Thai " title.

Kyle is then sent to the way of Ryu who he defeats in his travels. He and Kyle become quick friends and Kyle becomes a regular sparring partner for Ryu. He also meets his friend Ken who he befriends and spars with. He gets both to train him in their martial art teaching him moves like the Shoryuken and it's more powerful variant The Shin/Metsu Shoryuken. He is confronted by E. Honda and defeats the sumo wrestler and befriends him learning how to sum wrestle and counter against it. He seeks out the Bushin-style master Guy and has him teach him for a year before leaving to seek out another martial artist: Zangief who teaches him bear wrestling and his own style as well as his bodybuilding techniques.

Crysis Storyline[]

Using the Cave's Supercomputer, Kyle hacks in to F.B.I and military databases finding blueprints and construction articles on the U.S new tactical combat armor : The nanosuit. He finds these same nanosuits to be deployed to the Lingshan islands where a group of american archalogists have been said to have discovered something of great importance and capable of changing the balance of power. Kyle attempts to land on the Lingshan Islands but is hit by an unknown flying object. Swimming to shore and using his internal environmental camera, he makes the design of the flying object not of human origin. Keeping that in mind, Kyle sets out to find the secret of the Lingshan Islands.

Kyle follows the nanosuit-clad koreans that are gunning down american forces in the area until they reach a lab complex. Once there, he discovers an artifact predating humanity by two million years. The partially excavated artifact resembles one of the creatures that attacked Kyle being revealed as a machine. When Kyle does a scan, it fires an energy pulse that freezes the surronding area. Kyle's nano-suit has an internal temperature system which keeps him safe from the cold extremes. As the U.S. forces continue to the main excavation site, the central mountain on the island begins to fall apart, revealing a huge Ceph structure inside, which is nearly the size of the mountain itself.

Kyle enters the structure but becomes trapped inside. The environment later turns to a zero-gravity setting as he advances with Kyle having to use thrusters to move around while also encountering and battling hostile sentient Cephs. He also sees a possible invasion force consisting of several thousand Ceph machines within the structure leading Kyle to call an concentrated antimatter strike against the mountain. It frees him, partially destroys the invasion fleet as well as deactivating the structure. Kyle later runs into his old friend Gabriel who has also donned a nanosuit. Somehow, Gabriel was able to reverse-engineer a weapon from Ceph technology, the Molecular Accelerator(MOAC).

Gabriel uses his own military vehicle to fly them out of their and watch as the military use a nuclear missle to destroy the energy sphere. However, this only enlarges it and Ceph forces continue their attack on the Battleship. Gabriel uses the MOAC in conjunction with his interchanger shotgun blowing most of the forces out of the sky. Kyle calls another missle barrage from the cave destroying the invason. However, a massive Ceph warship arrives and completely destroys the U.S aircraft carrier. The duo use a combination of the cave's remaining missle strikes and MOAC to destroy it. Gabriel drops Kyle of at the Lingshan Islands who decides to learn more about the Ceph presence while Gabriel retreats to his base to research more about Ceph technology.

Crysis Warhead Story-line[]

Kyle heads into the jungle, making it an imperative to stop both sides from gaining Ceph technology. Kyle later downs a team of american nanosuit users because they were about to attack a North-Korean tourist group. Kyle continues going through the jungle combating both American and North Korean forces and sets up a makeshift underground lab used for the study Ceph biology , taking stolen/taken weaponry from American and North Korean forces, storing Ceph machines and weaponry and storing Nanosuits from both nations. Kyle then follows a North Korean submarine and finds what he thought to be a nuclear warhead to be actually be a Ceph machine. Kyle destroys the submarine via detonation and in the process successfully stops the North Koreans from learning Ceph technology.

However, most of the island flash freezes and mechanical Ceph attack all opposing groups. Kyle using a device to hear all public and secure channels learns U.S troops have been ordered to secure a North Korean container that contains another Ceph machine. Kyle sets out destroy the container from being in either's hands. Kyle is in turn followed by British assassin Integra and her squad of Britain's special forces. They engage in a very brief shootout before teaming up in mutual agreement to wipe out the KPA. Also, Integra is here to destroy the container and understand the nature and importance of the Ceph menace. Both Kyle and Integra destroy the container by forcing the KPA and Ceph reinforcements into unescapable situation and by using emps to make the Ceph's weapons detonate causing a flash freeze which kills both forces. After the container is destroyed, Kyle immediately gathers his items and equipment to the Cave for study while Integra and her squad head back after completing her mission.

Crysis 2 Storyline[]

About 3 months after Crysis, panic has spread from an alien invasion by the Ceph, the tentacled, squid-like alien race behind the incident of Crysis. Due to the breakdown in social order within New York City, Manhattan is placed under martial law, and under contract from the US Department of Defense, soldiers from C.E.L.L., a private military company run by the Crynet corporation, police the chaos. Kyle suits up in an enhanced nano-suit prototype before heading to Manhatten.

During his journey, Kyle meets up with his friend Gabriel Wilson. Kyle heads to the site of a downed Ceph drop-ship to collect samples. Kyle also reveals why he went to the Lingshan Islands is because he found out about the Ceph through various mysterious incidents throughout the world connected to them. Kyle and Gabriel attack a C.E.L.L building at the same time as the Ceph also attack the building. The Ceph release a alien spire from underground that releases a spore like weapon which kills most of the CELL operatives in the area. The duo enter the alien spire to test if it can interact with nanosuit technology. The experiment fails, due to the Ceph halting the process. In the meantime, the US Department of Defense rescinds the authority of CELL over Manhattan and deploys US Marines in their place under the command of Marine Colonel Barclay. They then attempt to drown the aliens out of lower Manhattan by ordering an air strike on the city's flood barrier. Kyle's Nanosuit begins to finalize the rewriting process using Ceph tissue.

Afterwards, another alien spire rises from underground. Kyle finishes with the processing of the alien spores and enters the spire while Gabriel fends of the Ceph and C.E.L.L soldiers outside. Kyle allows his Nanosuit to interface with it and re-purpose the spores to be lethal to the Ceph. This causes a cataclysmic self-destruction of the Ceph in the area, and apparently removes all traces of the biological warfare agent. Kyle learns of a tactical nuclear strike on the island despite risk of nuclear fallout and collaterial damage. Another massive alien spire rises out of Central park decimating it. Kyle heads to into the spire where he is assisted by Gabriel and Integra(whom he met earlier in Crysis Warhead) in dispatching Ceph forces. He enters the spire, and his Nanosuit and with the new samples from dead Ceph forces is able to repurpose the spire's bio-weapon to turn against the Ceph, killing all Ceph in New York in the process. However, Integra informs that they still are not done yet as the Ceph have built structures all over the world.

Crysis 3 Storyline[]

Kyle, after the events of Crysis 2, attempts to find and destroy the Alpha Ceph who he gained the knowledge of since Crysis 1 learning about the Ceph's existence. Kyle learns that CELL, now in search for global domination of land and technology, betrays all the remaining Nanosuit soldiers and starts skinning their bodies out from their suits so as to recover nanosuit technology.  Everyone involved in the Nanosuit program were either recruited or detained by C.E.L.L. Kyle learns this during his time attempting to find the Alpha Ceph, CELL used Ceph technology to generate unlimited free energy. Eventually, CELL gained a monopoly over the power supply in certain countries, and used it to drive nearly half of the world's richest countries into debt. Those who could not pay were sent to "volunteer camps."  A resistance movement formed form governments using the energy in response to this.

The source of CELL's power generation for half the entire world, called System X, is also located in the abandoned and encased New York, which has grown into a jungle. Kyle wants System X destroyed to free the pppressed countries from CELL. Kyle is once again joined by Gabriel and Integra who help him cut a swath through CELL forces and Ceph attackers. Their first target is System X's outer defenses. Despite CELL's capacity for infinite power generation, CELL chose to power its defenses with a hydroelectric dam. Integra hypothesizes that CELL does this because it fears something about System X. The trio then disables the dam and then disables the System X facility. It is revealed that System X is the Alpha Ceph. A system program designed to kill the Alpha Ceph when necessary activates, but fails, and the facility self-destructs.

The Alpha Ceph fires a beam into space to open a wormhole to the Ceph home world in the M33 Galaxy. Through this wormhole, they plan to send an invasion force to invade the planet, revealing their true motives for inhabiting the planet for millions of years. The Ceph hive-mind reactivates, and a coordinated Ceph attack ensues. Gabriel learns that because the Alpha Ceph is creating a wormhole, CELL plans to use Archangel, a satellite based energy distribution platform that can draw power from the entire world's power grid, as a directed energy weapon to destroy all of New York and hopefully the Alpha Ceph. Unfortunately, firing it at the Alpha Ceph would cause a chain reaction that would destroy the whole planet. To make matters worse, the Ceph attack the resistance. Gabriel stays behind to save the resistance while Kyle attempts to stop the invasion. Kyle and Integra proceed to the Archangel control facility where they shut off the weapon before it unleashes enough energy to set off a chain reaction.

The Alpha Ceph summons the brunt of the invasion force against Kyle to protect itself. Integra arrives to defend him along with the U.S military. During Kyle's massive battle against the Alpha Ceph, he uses the Archangel platform as a massive emp to fire all ceph connected to the Alpha and the invasion force. The effort proves successful as the majority of the Ceph on earth are killed along wth the entirety of the invasion force. Kyle then kills the weakened Alpha Ceph then uses it's energy to close the wormhole. C.E.L.L's assets are being used as part of the global recovery effort. Kyle helps out the global recovery effort in a collaboration with Wayne Enterprises, and Integra, with whom Kyle has now become romantically involved with hunts down the remaining Cell operatives and it's leaders.
