Bette as Brightbat
Bette Kane was shocked to learn her older cousin Kate Kane was in fact the Batwoman. Having grown up in Kate's shadow, Bette decided she finally had a chance to surpass her cousin and claim the spotlight for herself. She modified one of Kate's prototype Batwoman costumes and became Brightbat. After a confrontation with Batwoman, Bette agreed to give the costume back to her cousin. But Bette wasn't done with the superhero life and decided to create an identity that was entirely hers. An avid gamer, Bette modeled her new costume after the deadliest mythical creature from her favorite fantasy video game and became the Flamebird.
